Updates for the 2015 season

2014 again saw improvements all over the farm, along with many new customers and our faithful customers of many years.

Over the past few years we have once again expanded our farm stand by adding a nice patio floor for our flower and bouquet area thus also letting us expand our sales area as well.

With the interest in our hot peppers continuing to grow not only have we added some new varieties as well as keeping our customers favorites. We have started our own Chipotle pepper production. Starting with the Jalapenos that we grow from seed, then smoking them in our two new smokers. Dean has got our wholesale production doubled in the past year. We plan to have them on the farm stand a well this year for sale!

A new washing and packing area for our vegetable production has been updated, along with a new improved irrigation system to better serve our needs in the vegetable management and food safety area.

We are very much involved in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). With Allison and the farm being an involved member of the state IPM committee since 2011. We are looking forward to working closely with others farms and teaching the community more about this practice. (Put Link to IPM here)

We believe in supporting our community when we can so throughout the summer and fall we donate all excess produce to local charities such as, The Survival Center, Center of Self Reliance and The Food Bank. In 2014 we donated over 4,000 lbs!!

Please stop by our farmstand and see our fields in production while enjoying the large selection of fresh produce and flowers that we pride ourselves in growing and selling here. We are looking forward to our 2015 season and hope to see you all soon!!
